A troll is a player who intentionally disrupts a match or the broader community by taking actions that sabotage their own team. This behavior can include flaming in chat, griefing through repeated deaths similar to Feed, refusing to participate in team objectives, or going AFK while the game is still active. Trolls damage team morale and often cause games to become unwinnable, which may push teammates toward an early FF vote.
Trolling is considered one of the most harmful forms of negative behavior because it directly interferes with competitive integrity and the overall player experience. Riot actively penalizes consistent trolls through automated systems and player reports, yet individual games can still be heavily affected when a troll appears. Recognizing the signs early and muting disruptive players can help maintain focus, but preventing the impact of a troll entirely is rarely possible once the behavior escalates.
